My Sister’s Keeper |Book Review

Title: My Sisdownloadter’s Keeper

Author: Jodi Picoult

My Rating: 5

Summary: By the age of thirteen, Anna has undergone countless surgeries so that her sister Kate can fight leukemia. But now she has started questioning her purpose in life and she makes a decision that can affect her family severely and even turn out to be fatal for Kate.

My Thoughts: I’ve watched the movies like
a million times and I love it. It makes my sob uncontrollably but I still love watching it. On my birthday this year my friend finally gifted me the book.

I started reading it hoping for it to be better than the movie and it’s safe to say that it didn’t disappoint.

What I really loved were the multiple narratives of the book. That way you get to see how different people are affected by a single situation so differently. It showed how Kate was the one physically suffering but mentally everyone was.

I loved how united they all were as a family and everything they did was aimed towards a common goal and were willing to do anything and everything to keep Kate alive.

Even if you’ve read the movie, do read the book. Books are always better but this one was just so different too. The ending was s unexpected and different from the one in the movie.

Everyone should read this book as it is simply amazing.
